Ghk-cu (Copper Peptide)

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper peptide that plays a role in wound healing and tissue repair. It is used in skincare for its potential anti-aging effects and to promote collagen production. The peptide works by binding to copper ions, which can stimulate various biological processes including the activation of genes involved in tissue regeneration.

Great peptide. Been doing for about a year. Labs all good. Great for skin and hair and just generally looking and feeling young. I take breaks - but def recommend. Listen to your body and adjust if needed.

I’ve been on 5mg daily for four months now, with one three week break in between. I started at 1.5, then moved to 2 based on Anela. At 2 I was noticing some effect but not enough. Went to four, then eventually 5. Take a zinc supplement. Skin is beautiful, soft and glowing. Even my stretch marks are GONE!

Takes about 6 weeks to start seeing improvements for many. I started noticing fine lines in my forehead were going away and my turkey neck from weight loss of over 190LBS is going away as well. Stuff works like magic! I've been on it for 4 month's now and people tell me I loook 5 years younger already. My hair and nails are growing really fast as well.

I've been on and off it for quite some time. Problem is I take other peptides that have either a direct impact on your skin. I use or have used these in conjunction with GHK-Cu: BPC-157 → healing and repair KPV → anti-inflammatory skin support Epitalon → longevity / anti-aging signaling TB-500 → deeper tissue repair Obviously, three of these are commonly found in the KLOW blend. That said, GHK-Cu has been shown in gene expression research to activate or suppress over 4,000 human genes, many related to skin regeneration and collagen synthesis. That’s one reason it’s considered one of the most powerful peptides for skin quality. In my personal experience, GHK-Cu has had a pretty noticeable impact on my hair and skin quality. Obviously everyone is different, but it’s one of the compounds where I’ve actually seen visible changes. This definitely has not happened overnight. There is also NAD⁺...

I did 9 weeks of KLOW first, where the ghkcu was 2-2.5mg nightly. Then I took a week break and started ghkcu on its own. I did 5 weeks of 3.33mg nightly. The picture shows the before and after for the KLOW protocol. The biggest improvements were reduction in redness, way thicker skin (especially around the eyes), and overall skin softness and smoothness. My hair also improved in that it is no longer oily. I’m hoping with continued use, I’ll see more hair benefits. I took a 3 week break after the 5 weeks and now am just dosing 2mg a night so the vials last longer. I’m loving the results and will continue to incorporate ghkcu in my routine. https://preview.redd.it/gtwmlsuqrnug1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac2ca8d21c01285adb4d11806d12a1705f4b34d6

I’ve been on it for 3 months. I started seeing results (more plump, smooth, less red, and tighter skin) after about a month and I really feel it’s getting better by the day. My face used to get dry and red easily and now I don’t use as much moisturizer and redness completely gone. My hands got really dry and now they’re baby soft it’s insane. And just firmer skin overall specifically on thighs. I use it daily 2mg (needle fatigue is real keep that in mind) (a 50mg vial with 3ml bac water added which is 12 units a day) sometimes the injection can sting but nothing too bad at least for me. It helps to warm it up in hands before hand for like 30sec I plan to take a month break after 6 months.

I’ve been using 2mg 5 night a week for about 3 months now. Along with micro needling and good skincare, my skin has never looked better. I’m 42 and most people think I’m much younger. No Botox or filler and not a wrinkle in sight! And I rarely need any makeup which is a bonus. Redness has gone down and skin tone and clarity have improved. My hair hasn’t changed much but I don’t think I’ve been on it long enough to notice that. So far I am happy with it and will continue as I’ve heard using it 8-9 months is what the real changes happen.

I have about four weeks experience with the Anela Protocol (topical/subq) and all I can say is DoctordUp should get a Congressional Metal of Honor or something! Follow instructions to avoid the sting. I saw big results the first week (60 yr old, lost c.45#s), and by week three I was canceling my four-figure cosmetic surgeon quarterly appointment. Pro Tip: Take a zinc supplement so you don’t need to worry about too much copper building up in your system. Do as she says, it is SO worth it!

3rd degree burn on my forearm from the edge of a very hot cast iron pan. Almost seemed to heal right before my eyes, the huge burn blister immediately responded and became smaller, within one week it was healed and there is no scar now. GHK-CU cream. I now make sure to always keep some on hand. I tried it as I did not have burn cream and remembered how it can help heal and help your skin and I was happily amazed and relieved. I recently changed soaps/shampoo and started Finasteride (1 month in) so trying to pin point the reaction reason. I also thought Tesa was the culprit but I was halfway through the cycle and stopped to see if IT was the reason. I’m mixing GHK w/BPC daily and Reta weekly but it seems GHK is the real reason. From my reading and research this is what i understand. You shouldnt expect to start to see improvements (in regards to skin texture/ageing etc) until around week 6 and even then it will most likely be minimal. Its weeks 6-12 that things should really start to kick in to gear. And then realistically you probably want a good 6 months on it to see the full results. Im on about week 5. I’ve completed one cycle and half way through the second. I buy 50mg vials also. Since this peptide can cause a histamine reaction around the injection site, which can be slightly painful for a day or two, I try to make it as dilute as possible. So, I reconstitute with 3mL of BAC water. That gives me a concentration of 16.667mg/mL. At that concentration, every 10 units (0.1mL) delivers 1.667mg. 12 units = 2.0mg. I take 2mg/day, 7 days a week, for 6 weeks. Then I take a 2-3 week break. Rinse, repeat. During the 6 weeks on, I also take a 25mg zinc supplement. I’ve noticed a substantial improvement in skin quality. It’s thicker and smoother. I unintentionally cured a tooth infection with GHK-Cu. It’s pretty funny. I was doing a course of it to see if it had any of the vaunted skin effects (I’m a 52 year old woman). I had had a toothache and it was getting in my jaw for about a week at the point when I started it, and was kind of delaying going to the dentists for who knows why. Anyway, a few days into the GHK-Cu, the tooth got better. Or rather the pain got better. All I could think was that the extra copper had an antibacterial effect.\ Eventually the toothache returned and I had to go get a filling. I wouldn’t really recommend doing what I did, but I did find it amusing. It was like a short course of antibiotics.

But the addition of copper peptides was the only change I made at that time. When I add any new product or change product frequency, I always wait 4 weeks before changing anything else because my skin is temperamental. So I can clearly attribute the changes to the peptides. They just make my skin look better.

I inject ghk-cu at 2-3mg per day. It’s helped my skin sagging from weight loss, but honestly the primary benefit has been my hair. It’s full and bouncy and no longer thinning. Baby hairs started to grow back in. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Wasn’t expecting it but I’ll take it.

Late to the party here. I use TO copper peptides BUT I had used it, got a fright and never used it again for a year. I noticed a somewhat saggy effect, worsening texture, lines appeared more prominent. I went in with it twice a day at first. It's back in my routine now but I dont use it twice a day, or every day. I use it once every second day and I actually love it now. Maybe before it was just too much copper in one go which I believe can have a paradoxical effect? I got the same with retinol, however I have never been brave enough to touch that again 😂😂

I’ve tried 4 different ones and my HG is niod cais. TO Buffet CP did nothing for me. Not saying it’s not good but my 49F skin really needs more. SubQ Skin made some change. CAIS is great for me. Have repurchased many times. I started seeing results after 3-4 months I think, after 75% of the large bottle. It gives my mature skin a fresh young glow, and makes it plumper. CAIL I’m using now, halfway a tube so it’s too early to tell. Don’t want to judge before finishing it.

Old post, just wanted to add my own experience. I’ve been using copper peptides since 2006. On and off, but mostly on. I always use the Skin Biology copper peptides, as they’re formulated by the scientist who discovered the anti-aging properties of copper peptides (Dr. Loren Pickart) I tried the NIOD and The Ordinary Buffet + CP when they first came out as I was curious, but went back to Skin Biology to me they’re much stronger. Well actually Skin Biology offers a range of copper peptide strengths, as well as raw copper peptides you can add to your choice of skincare. The product I use the most is the Skin Signals serum, I just love it. 2-3 sprays on my face right after cleansing. I’m 52 and my skin is radiant (not trying to be boastful, but it really is, the copper peptides and AHAs definitely paid off I...

I have been using copper peptides for 3 years now (currently 31)and it's something I never leave out of my morning routine. I do notice a difference in plumpness and firmness when I use it and how my skin feels without it. You definitely don't have to spend the $$$ to get a good serum (I generally use the ordinarys copper peptide) but I can under if $30-40+ is still expensive for people on a budget. I would say this is definitely worth trying just once to see if it benefits you. The only downside is you can't layer it with a lot of other ingredients so whether you are using it in the morning or night the routine will have to be minimal in order to get the most out of it. Hope this helps.

GHK-Cu Copper Peptide Skin Rejuvenation I'm an aging model, a devotee of timeless elegance, and a former professional bodybuilder. I've always been attuned to my body's needs, and recently, I embarked on a rather remarkable journey with a peptide called GHK-Cu. Initially, when I began my 30-day cycle with GHK-Cu, I was taken aback by its striking blue color. "Is this normal?" I pondered. But then, a revelation struck me - copper, a key component of GHK-Cu, naturally exhibits this azure tint. It was a moment of learning and acceptance. The idea of daily injections was daunting at first. After all, who relishes the thought of needles? But as someone who understands the body's complexities, I was intrigued. The commitment paid off – friends and acquaintances began remarking that I looked a decade younger, just after a 30-day cycle of 2mg per day. The results were astonishing! For those curious,...

Finally cracked the GHK-Cu sting - here's my pain-free protocol Like most of you, my first GHK-Cu injections felt like getting stung by a bee, with red welts that lasted days. I tried the Anela protocol (icing, slow injection, the whole thing), but even with all those steps it was still uncomfortable and felt overcomplicated. So after trial and error, I landed on a protocol that made my injections **completely painless**. No sting, no redness. Here it is. *Disclaimer: not medical advice. Consult your healthcare provider. This is just what worked for me.* *Edit: updated to reflect a few solid points raised in the comments.* # The "warmpin" protocol (2min) **1. Dilute** Reconstitute with **3 mL of bacteriostatic water per 50 mg vial**. This is the single biggest factor. Most of the sting comes from concentration and osmolality, the more dilute the solution, the gentler it is on tissue. Don't...

Copper peptides are amazing, but they are very unstable. I use the Blue Biotic from Parallel health .io, recommended by my derm, which not only has a high dose of GHK-Cu (copper peptides), but also other peptides like snap 8 and matrixl3000 that help with reducing wrinkles and building volume. I use it every day morning and night and now only do botox once a year instead of four times a year because I just don’t need it as often.

Results I got and expected- skin looks bouncier, plumper (not fillers plump, but subtle oomph). Results I got and did not expect - redness reduction that I cannot explain. But the addition of copper peptides was the only change I made at that time. When I add any new product or change product frequency, I always wait 4 weeks before changing anything else because my skin is temperamental. So I can clearly attribute the changes to the peptides. They just make my skin look better.

Or antioxidants like resveratrol?) I LOVED the Lovinah copper peptide ampuole. Its expensive but i saw dramatic improvement especially around my eyes- seemed like it plumped a lot of lines and kind of brightened. I use their peptide night mask afterwards and that combo has been amazing especially for redness or blotchiness. Im using the CAIS serum and really liking it a lot! Using the klairs midnight blue growth factor serum as well, and finishing with that lovinah mask. The ordinary buffet copper peptides are fine but i honestly didnt get any results (fine product though- i like their matryxl or argieilene more).

I use injectable GHK-CU (GLOW is the combo I technically use) and it’s been incredible for hair growth. I’m on tirzepatide for inflammation, and that can cause significant hair loss, so I’m using GLOW to combat that. Within 2 weeks of daily proper use, I had visible new hair growth. I will say, if this is a road you opt to go down, do your homework on the peptide subreddits to determine how to make the injections as painless as possible. They’re SPICY.

I started using it topically at 4% with hyaluronic acid on my face and bat wings. Ha. 3 weeks of 4x week nightly use, alternating with trentoin- has done WAY more than injecting ghk-cu. But if you’ve got it in a blend, more power to you! Also, subq helps disburse it throughout the body. So I can’t yuck anyone’s yums here.

Podcaster Tara West just released an episode where she did just this. She said she "accidentally" took double the dose (from 2.5 to 5.0) and noticed a more pronounced response in her skin. She said this also caused her to experience eating diversion. She said she just wasn't hungry. While she explained this is not the intended response, this was a side effect to the higher dosage. She's a seemingly well-informed user of peptides which makes me question the accidental double dose.

I am suspecting that i am getting the “copper uglies” on my neck as it looks super crepey its weird, never been like that before. But apparently its the collagen remodeling. That being said, i have always had thin, brittle, weak nails that take long time to grow. Well from about week 2 my nails have been strong and healthy and now at week 5 they are the longest, strongest, thickest they have ever been. But apparently the...

You can start low. I see no problem. I started with 0,5mg and went up to about 1mg per day. Thats my sweet spot. I feel it working on my skin and I have no side effects like on higher doses. There is no must, that you use 2 mg or more per day. everyone is different.

I was hoping that it would help with my thinning hair, but I haven’t noticed much change there. 10mg/day sounds *way* too much.

Have heard about the “copper purge”, but first let me ask if you are 100% certain you got high quality GHK-CU. I’ve taken it for 2 weeks and just in the last 1-2 days noticing the skin smoothening - visibly looking in mirror and feeling my face. Also when pinning, the skin being tougher to penetrate with needle - started seeing this within the first 3-4 days.

My only complaint is the increased facial acne. From my research, that will go away eventually. I'm quite pleased with my results. I have ten 100mg vials, so I'm stocked up for the long haul. I did hit a point where I started losing my hair - the pattern did not follow MPB and this did cause me some stress, but I realized it was causing a new growth phase. hair is filling out and is growing well. Skin looks amazing. I've been running the KLOW stack - as I had surgery and was using the combo to help with recovery and scarring - along with the other benefits. About 4 weeks. My hair has improved. A little softer compared to w/o ghkcu. Less flakes on my scalp too. For the skin, bumps on my face started to become smaller. Sometimes I would run my nails on the bumps and whitehead will come out pretty quick. Like, as if they were just out there hanging waiting to be wiped off. Pimple dries fast. I haven't noticed about the white hair because mine was dyed before I got on to this wonderful peptide.
