Hello there. My (39 F) fasting insulin is 16, blood sugar 5.7 (upper limit 6.1), a1c 5.4. The doctor wanted to prescribe me Metformin, but I didn't agree to it so we went for Berberine. Regretfully, after only a week I got a very strong rash, constipation and very vivid dreams, after which I stopped taking it. Now after 2 months on a strict diet, I am down 7 kg (now 68 kg). I am going to try Inositol and will be continuing with the diet. Will see in the summer after doing new tests if there are changes with the results...
