Modafinil (Provigil)

FDA Approved

Modafinil is a wakefulness-promoting agent used primarily to treat narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, and shift work sleep disorder. It works by altering neurotransmitters in the brain, particularly increasing dopamine levels, which helps to enhance alertness and reduce excessive sleepiness. Modafinil is often considered a cognitive enhancer and is sometimes used off-label for other conditions.

400 a day and somedays its great, others I tend to find myself doing random side projects only to realize half my day is gone. I communicate alot in my job role and I do feel like it has helped me as a communicator however. Sleep is fine for me but everyone can be different. IQ increase though? I don't think anything other than snake oil will do that job.

What modafinil feels like to me. Made this not to promote it but to document my experience on Modafinil. -from UK -26m -I work as a creative director and pretty much work 10-12 hours a day. Wanted to see what the hype was about. Purchased Modafinil with the purpose of biohacking. I’ve been on it for a 3weeks and regularly journaling it since then. My Anecdotal Experiences Summarized: Energy: No more lethargic days or afternoon crashes. This shit works as intended. Focus: haven’t taken any ADHD medication before so I can’t compare it to that but focus has increased significantly. It just feels like there’s 1 person in your brain controlling direction rather than the 2 people. (Not trying to sound schizophrenic but I’m referring to voices that say “let’s get this done” vs “I don’t feel like doing this right now”) and to clarify it’s only the “let’s get...

My Modafinil experience I have been taking modafinil ocassionally for about a year now. I may take it 2-3 times per week at lower doses, usually 50 or 100mg. I sometimes have weeks i dont take it at all. I love the motivation it gives me to get tasks done and the performance in the gym, without being hyped or jittery. My performance at work is increased hugely and I get to focus on side hustles on the weekends. Here are some things i noted which i was wondering if anyone else has as they seem unusual when compared to other peoples experiences. 1. Doesnt raise my heart rate or blood pressure at all! It sometimes even slows my heart rate. It can be 48-50 while sitting down, even on modafinil. Ive always had a slow heart rate, so my point here is that it doesnt increase it at all,...

Modafinil treated me well for a few years. My schedule changed and it stopped working as well. Idk if it would work again if I went back to a normal sleep schedule. I didn't have any noticeable side effects. It just felt like going from groggy af to decently awake without really noticing.

I feel Modafinil helps. I don't have this extreme need to nap throughout the day while I'm at work. I do notice I'm still sleepy and could nap but I don't feel the intense need to do it. Before Modafinil, before my IH diagnosis, I was on focalin for ADHD and fluoxetine for depression. I would have to nap on my breaks and lunch and then come home and be a zombie. Not to mention I drank coffee and energy drinks. Modafinil helps a little, it doesn't give me a speedy feeling like focalin or worsen my anxiety which I like. But also I feel like I got used to it pretty quick, the first week was magical I felt alive, now I just feel like me but slightly less tired. I've been on it since October 2025. I did notice some side effects, I've been getting more headaches, not...

I became intolerant to Modafinil very quickly and my dosage kept going up every 6 months. After 4 years, I had gone from 100mg once a day to 400mg a day. I did this twice and can no longer be prescribed Modafinil. For those it’s good for, it’s great. For those, like me who burn through medication, Modafinil has no positive benefits.

When I was on modafinil (100 mg morning, 100 mg afternoon) I did feel the effects immediately. It wasn’t like wow this is life changing, but it got me through the day better than 5-7 cups of coffee did. I did feel tolerance build up quickly, so like others mentioned I would try to take a break on weekends. When it was bad, I would take a 1 week break. I found Dexedrine SR (15 mg morning, 10 mg afternoon) better. Strangely, if I take instant release Dexedrine it knocks me out, so it has to be SR. Vyvanse also knocks me out. However, after ~2 years now I’m having the same problems where it’s just not working well anymore, even with breaks or dose increase, and I’m still sleeping on it. I’ve noticed that I absolutely CANNOT let myself sleep after the first 1-2 hours after taking it otherwise...

I started on modafinil and until I was switched to a generic made by Aerobindu, it worked great. So, my doctor switched me to armodafinil (name brand) and I felt AWESOME. Then… patent went away and generics came out. The generics that worked for me were Mylan or Teva. The others did not work at all. That’s my experience over 16 years of meds. Others that worked for me were technically not my meds, but were kindly given to me to function… low dose Concerta and Ritalin worked for me, better than I expected. I’ve been off meds since June last year and I miss my meds, but I’m not sure I need the armodafinil quite like I used to. A 5mg Ritalin would be great though, at least on my worst days.

My 6 Months Experience With Modvigil / Modafinil I have been using Modvigil (modafinil) on and off for about 6 months now and I thought I would share how it’s been for me. I originally tried it because I wanted to focus during long work days. I also occasionally have late-night work sessions, and coffee just wasn’t doing the job anymore. First thing I noticed was wakefulness. I stay properly alert for 8–10 hours, not jittery like caffeine just a “switched on” feeling. No usual midday mental fatigue, and it’s easier to sit and work. Biggest change is focus. I usually get distracted easily, but with Modafinil I can stick to one task. Even boring work feels manageable it doesn’t make it fun, just easier to start and continue. Another thing I noticed is that the usual afternoon brain fog doesn’t really show up when I’ve taken it. I can...

I’ve taken Modafinil for DSPS for 13 years. I wanted to share my experience. I just found this group and I wanted to share my story in case it can help someone out there. I was diagnosed with Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome (DSPS) when I was 16 in 2009. I couldn’t fall asleep until 4am and I would wake up at 2pm or later despite my parents imposing a strict sleep hygiene regimen. I would sleep deeply for 10-12 hours straight. Upon wake up, I would still have significant sleep inertia and remain in a daze/fog the rest of the day. My sleep was so disturbed that I dropped out of high school when I was 15. Morning class start times (Usually for 7:35am at my high school and middle school, but really anything before noon) was impossible for me and I developed chronic absenteeinsm. I was labeled as depressed,...

First week on Modafinil — surprising effects & still sleeping on it Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with modafinil so far and see if anyone else relates. The good effects: About an hour after taking it, I felt different in a way I hadn’t expected. The constant mind chatter went quiet. I felt present, aware, and actually connected with my body. It wasn’t a “stimulant rush,” more like my brain finally went into the right gear. No mind noise, no distractions, only present. Unfortunately, that clarity only lasted about 4 hours, and later in the day I was able to sleep even though I was still on the pill. Surprising effects: I even ended up napping/dreaming while on modafinil, which I didn’t think was possible. Slept for about four fragmented hours, couldn't resist the sleep. This makes me wonder: Is it normal to feel a calm, present...

After a year of doctor appointments and sleep studies, delayed by COVID-19, I was prescribed modafinil by my doctor. I just had my first dose today and holy fuck, the difference is night and day. I feel a little nauseous but mentally I feel clearer and sharper than I have in years, no longer worried about the inevitability of drifting off while I’m working or even just while I’m out and about. It makes me feel excited about life. More confident, more motivated. Along with this relief though is this huge sense of grief. You take modafinil to stay awake. It does not do much for focus or alertness unless your lack of focus or alertness is caused by tiredness. It performs poorly as an ADHD drug. For me, it does not impact my night-time sleep at all if I take it in the early morning. You might have better luck with caffeine, limiting your consumption to before noon.

You will become tolerant to modafinil. Doctors might tell you otherwise. Modafinil works on your endorphins. Eventually you create a lot of receptors to compensate. Once you grow tolerant, all you’ll get from it are the side-effects. They aren’t horrible, but for some, they can include irritability. I took it. Started out great, was freaking amazing to not be tired all day; however, after a year or so it just didn’t work anymore. I was just as tired if not more and throw in the physical feeling of pretty intense irritation into the mix and it was absolutely not worth it. Sorry I don’t have better news with my personal experience. Edit - it’s not addictive in terms of physical withdrawal but you may find it psychologically addictive. Edit - I’ve also tried some of the other stimulants and they were worse in terms of shitty side-effects once tolerance set...

I used to take modafinil for days I didn’t get enough sleep. With a driving job driving statewide it was starting to get dangerous with my nodding off. It generally kept me awake during the day but I think it had more negatives than positives. I became extremely quick to anger and more impatient when I used it. I also was more mentally drained after it started wearing off in the late afternoon. I don’t take it anymore. Just too many negatives and it started losing effectiveness after using it for around 3 years. One big positive is it helps curb your appetite.

I tried the medication and agree with most folks here, it takes some getting used to (minor dizzy, dull headache, etc.) but then worked great only to start wearing down after a few months. I found amount of time sleeping with the cpap helped me the most. I was set on getting the 4 minimum and then would often wake up, notice this and either wake up or fall back asleep but without the mask. Once I started putting it back on and got 7-8 hours a night my daytime drowsiness went away.

Modafinil is great for intellectual work or to get rid of jet leg. It's not a great replacement for good sleep in my opinion. On 200mg I still feel tired but much more capable to do stuff that involves my brain. It's not a stimulant but definitely makes you feel like one, slightly robotic and less joyful. I keep them around to get stuff done and take one during red eye flights at sunrise of destination time zone.

The nice thing about it is that it makes caffeine actually work like it's supposed to. First few days are going to surprise you with the amount of energy you'll have. You'll be talkative and a bit more social. After about a week, the meds will start to level off a little and you'll just feel normal. It's important to keep hydrated with this medication. Don't over do it. Just make sure you're not thirsty. Toward the end of the day, if you have had no caffiene, you might notice some fatigue and grogginess. This is when the meds have started to wind down. If you need to, find a nice quiet place and try to nap for about 15-30 minutes. Try to avoid caffiene in the later half of the day. This might extend your wakefulness way into the night. The key here is discipline. You need a designated sleep schedule. I don't know what the "avoid dairy and gluten" comment in here means. Just...

I mean, it’s great… Modafinil isn’t a strong stimulant but depending on how bad your fatigue is, you’ll notice it pretty much immediately. Until you adjust to the dose you will probably be more energetic and social, more engaged with what you’re working on. Please do NOT listen to this weird dietary advice I’ve seen on here, no idea what that’s about, but do make a note to drink enough water because it can dehydrate you a bit. You may notice decreased appetite so try to force yourself to maintain whatever your normal eating schedule is. If you take one in the morning you will probably notice it wears off by mid afternoon, like 4-5:00 or so if take at 7-8a. I would avoid drinking a ton of caffeine, maybe some in the morning but not as much later in the day. Best of luck to you.

I already have (controlled) migraines but I had end of the day/tension headaches the first few weeks. It takes a while for the medication to build up in your system so give it some time to get an accurate feel of how it’s working. I was on 150-200mg of modafinil daily for about 6 mos. It was prescribed off label based on some promising studies that it may help to improve cognition/memory concerns resulting from initial episodes of BP 2 w/rapid cycling. It was initially very beneficial for this purpose, but the efficacy waned over time and after I stabilized on other meds, I no longer needed it anyway. In terms of adverse long term effects, I didn’t have any. It functioned the same in terms of wakefulness the entire time. My main reason for discontinuing was the smell. Some individuals produce/excrete more sulfur metabolites from modafinil than others. I apparently excreted a lot because it made me smell like bleach/chlorine. I’ve been on it almost three years with zero side effects and it works great for me. I haven’t had any diminishment in its efficacy and I take it continuously. In fact, the handful of times there has been a disruption in my prescription refill has been an absolute nightmare totally screwing up my sleep in addition to not being awake and functional during the day.

Was on modafinil for a while at first and then armodafinil for most of my 14 years since diagnosis. I don’t recall the formers dosage but the latter is 250mg 1x daily however for the past several years I only took it as needed and for like a year I didn’t really use it at all and only recently got it again. Xyrem/Xywav does 90% of the work without a doubt. The armodafinil does reduce the number of times I might feel tired during the day or the threshold for triggering it so it makes driving less likely to be an issue for example I have never really gotten real headaches from it but on occasion I have had the slightest discomfort in my head on a longer day that I think may be a result of the meds however I never used to notice that problem before but now...

I’ve been on modafinil for 10ish years. For me, it’s always been the same dose, 100mg in the morning another as needed. I started on a higher dose, but I couldn’t concentrate and was basically a squirrel on crack. I was awake, but it wasn’t a useful awake lol. I rarely take the second dose in the afternoon, as the morning dose lasts about 12 hours. So the 100mg is usually enough to keep me going for 12 hours. The moda is enough that I don’t get sleep attacks much anymore, and when I do it’s because I’m doing something boring lol, and getting up to walk around is usually enough to shake it off. But like others have said, it doesn’t give me loads of energy, it’s primarily enough that I can stay awake, but if I lay down it’s not going to keep me awake. I used to...

I’ve been on it for 15 years, and I take 400mg in the morning. I usually take tolerance breaks on the weekends. As someone said earlier it makes me about 70%-80% normal. I haven’t had any issues with it. If I stay up all night and take my medicine I get palpitations but I obviously try not to do that. I have recently been taking 1 pill a day instead of 2 bc of a habit I had when I was switching doctors and it is not very helpful and I need to get back to taking my regular amount lol

I've taken 5+ years @ 200mg daily, but have IH. It's never waned in efficacy for me, but the efficacy was also never "I feel energized!". What it means for me is that I don't fall asleep at random at work, school, or on trains...but, I definitely don't take it and feel all carpe-diem either, I still often feel tired. If I increase the dose it makes me feel kind wonky. I have zero side effects from it other than it exacerbating occasional insomnia if I happen to be very anxious about something.

I take 200mg of Modafinil twice daily, and have been doing so for 5-ish years. There was a time that I took a mid-day dose of 100mg (I function best with this), but it was a destroying my skin (hives and acne on my neck and jawline.. I think it was a histamine thing if I remember correctly?) I literally can’t function without Modafinil though. I can barely function *with* it lol. I’m curious about why people apparently stop taking it after a few months? The plan is to not take it forever though—my doctor wants me on Xyrem instead. I’m weaning off other medications first, though, which has not been easy or fun.

I have been on modafinil for five years! I wasn’t sold on it after the first year - I used to experience very worrying heart palpitations in years 2-3, but after a bunch of scans and a really annoying back and forth with my doctor, they were finally like “oh, maybe you can lower your dose.” So I went from 400mg daily to 300mg, and though they insisted I didn’t have to give up caffeine (which was weird), I did, and the palpitations went away and other side effects were much reduced, and I’ve been very happy on it since then.

Long-term effects of Modafinil Hey, I am a long-term user of Modafinil (4 years) and would like to find out what other long-term users have experienced (positive and negative side effects). I am quite interested on what it actually does to our brain and body over a long period of usage and am curious if anyone can provide me with any scientific research (or similar?). So far, I can only speak from experience, and I am about to stop using Modafinil due to the negative side effects. I've been taking Modafinil for 4 years pretty much every day (with some breaks inbetween) and while I found it incredible in the first year (while I was still in University), I started to experience negative side effects, which makes me want to quit the drug completely. From my experience, **positive effects** include: * Increase in productivity * Interest to learn/study/experience new things...

I'm not scientist but it feels like I've read a thousand case studies and articles at this point and off the top of my head I remember reading about things like creativity tests and iq tests in people who were on modafinil long term and they performed well while on and off the medication, meaning that like they still possessed the same cognitive abilities without the med and didn't develop any sort of cognitive dependence on it. I will occasionally take it for a particular project or task, but never longer than a few days.

This happened to me!!! I ended up practically breaking up with all my friends because I suddenly couldn't stand them anymore. Also, once I was put on xyrem and finally started to get real sleep, the modafinil made me absolutely insane any time I got frustrated. I struggled with having urges to physically harm my partner when he pushed my buttons!!! It was scary for everyone involved. My doc took me off of it and miraculously I could still stay awake throughout the day thanks to the xyrem, so the modafinil was seriously overload.

Yeeeeeah. I called modafinil the Hell Medicine. I only took it in emergencies because it induced Hell Time. It started as a flat affect thing, but over time, it developed into this full blown, miniature crisis trigger. I felt physically ill, my head swam constantly, and I was somehow both infuriated and utterly resigned at the same time. I knew it was the modafinil, but I felt like I was done for. It felt a lot like how you start to feel when you’ve had insomnia for long enough. The world starts falling away in fragments and you only have pain left. Armodafinil wasn’t quite as bad, mostly because it didn’t seem to work. I’m on Sunosi now and it doesn’t cause me any of these problems.

My experience with Modafinil has been very positive! I started taking it in mid May (only 60-100mg per day). So far I've had no negative side effects, and a couple of positive side effects. And it's been working for me. It has made a significant difference in how I experience tiredness. I used to feel tired all the time, and it was such an oppressive feeling. It was genuinely difficult to power through and remain functional when I was tired (which was much of the time). Modafinil makes the tiredness a lot lighter and less oppressive. I still feel it, but maybe only half as much as I used to. And I've especially noticed a positive difference with how I feel in the mornings. Because of that, I've been able to stick to a strict wake schedule, which I was never able to maintain before. I've advanced my wake time...

On my sleeping meds and not it's difficult to wake up (like you), and this gets rid of that feeling of just wanting to go back to sleep which in turn helps with motivation, a ton. Compared to caffeine, it's definitely a lot smoother and I can actually notice the wakefulness effect on it where as on caffeine, I never could. I never really drank a lot of caffeine though. I'm not a coffee person haha. Only downside though is the crushing headaches I get when it wears off. Although, I'm probably not hydrated enough. All the other side effects go away with use- like cotton mouth, crashing, and dehydration. Definitely drink A LOT of water...

It was only a few weeks before I was on the max dose, and a few months later I realized I had digressed back into all my old coping mechanisms, and that the Provigil wasn't doing anything for me. Keep an eye out for mood changes, and rashes. It's good that you're trying to go into it without prejudices. Sometimes the fear of side-effects can cause side-effects, as we see in drug studies when placebo (inactive) drugs cause side-effects, sometimes at similar percentages as the active drug.

I’ve been on ArModafinil almost a year now (my doc skipped Modafinil). Nausea and vomiting have never been a side effect for me. Also, the times I’ve seen N and V mentioned on this list (as side effects of Modafinil/Armodafinil) don’t seem to be quite as common as you think. If you think get easily nauseated then take it with a small meal. Like a couple spoonfuls of something the consistency of spaghetti-o’s. Soft, warm and easily swallowed. The taste is terrible though .(I often don’t take pills with even water!) And it gave me a mighty big headache for a good six months. Usually ibuprofen took care of it though.

Yup. Can't function without it. I'm always impressed by the mental clarity I have when my dose finally kicks in, the brain fog just melts away. Feels like waking up from a dream. I'll actually have the energy to do my laundry, and shower, and get groceries and stuff, provided I don't sit down for too long. I can even make it through a work day without 6 cups of coffee. My dosage needs adjusting now, but even a small dose is so much better than nothing. I might also be developing narcolepsy and have ridiculous hypersomnia in addition to my DSPD, so it's helping a bit with those symptoms too. I do experience some side effects: killer headaches if I don't stay hydrated, minor anxiety, and I've lost 90% my sense of smell. Sucks, but meh? It's all pretty minor compared to trying to function without modafinil.

Provigil changed my life When I was around 17 I started having moderate symptoms of cfs. I struggled through staying awake in class, never felt rested, and had no energy for any of my hobbies. My grades suffered because I couldn’t stay awake through doing my homework. After I graduated, I moved 1000 miles away from home and started college. This is when my health started to decline rapidly. I was rarely able to attend my classes and was sleeping 14-20 hours a day. I begged my doctor to acknowledge that something was wrong, but I got the standard response of “it’s normal for a college student to be tired”. As if tired was all this was. My immune system was terrible and I was sick most of the time. My POTS flares were constant and debilitating. I could stay awake for any longer than a few hours at a...

I fall asleep while driving like Ethan I have the same problem Ethan has with falling asleep while driving. I told my general doctor about my concerns and she referred me to a asleep study doctor. I did a sleep study as well as a narcolepsy test the following day and was finally diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia. I was prescribed Provigil and it changed my life. I take it as needed and I can stay awake and alert and drive without fear of falling asleep and crashing, I highly recommend getting a sleep study.

I have been taking it for 3 months, and the only side effects I’ve noticed are an increase in body temperature and that when my heart rate raises for something normal I’m much more aware of it than I would have been otherwise, but I don’t think it’s any higher than it would have been. Like I’ll get a text and feel my heart rate go up, and that was when I really started questioning my feelings for this person. But I don’t have any nausea or increased anxiety

I think it depends on the person. Armodafinil gave me stomach pain but modafinil works well for me without any stomach issues. It did give me headaches at first but after about a week they were more mild, and now I don't get any headaches with it. Each something, even just a few crackers, when you take it.

I had more negative side effects with nuvigil. Provigil changed my life. Had a headache for the first month or so right after taking it and occasional nausea but on it 6 months now and I couldn’t be happier. And honor never motor bad taste- just swallow it you’re not chewing it. I take 200 mg. twice a day and I love that I am awake and productive all day. Worth a little headache or stomach ache to start.

I was extremely hesitant to start Provigil due to it being a stimulant. It was a game changer at the start. I did have to gradually up the dose as my body grew accustomed to it. I started with 50mg in the morning and afternoon. My dose is now 100mg in morning and 200mg in the early afternoon. I was worried it was affecting my anxiety, but my neurologist asked what I would do if I stopped taking it. I said, go back to drinking 3 pots of coffee a day. Point taken. That being said, the effectiveness has waned. I now only take it on weekdays, or busy weekends. If my afternoon is pretty chill, I skip that dose. If I wake up exhausted- I start with 200mg in the morning. By not taking it everyday, it keeps it effective when I need it.

200mg at 7am and 200mg at 11am. Been fine on that dose since 2018, lower doses worked for a while but then I plateaued, luckily 400mg is the upper limit for someone with severe narcolepsy so my dr was happy for me taper up to it. The only difficulty is taking them on time, it has to be before lunchtime or they don’t ‘wear off’ enough for me to sleep. And that’s even with the Klonopin that I’m prescribed for leg spasms at night. It’s a balancing act but as long as I take everything at the right times (I have medication alarms set I can’t miss doses) then it works pretty well…

100 mg daily in the morning. I'm prescribed 200 mg daily but when I take this dosage, even if I spread it out over time, it tweaks my anxiety in really unpleasant ways and I basically can't go in public without a barely suppressed panic attack happening. I will only take this dose if I'm finding the 100 mg dose is insufficient and I don't have the option of going home and going to bed. As someone else noted, 800 mg is the max dose. I'm absolutely terrified of taking more than 200 mg personally.

My prescription says 100 mg twice daily or as needed. I take 100 mg in the morning and if I am really tired, I will take the second dose around noon. However, Ii I do this for a few days, I start feeling jittery and don't sleep well at night. No trouble getting to sleep but it is a light sleep and I am wakeful after I have slept off the extreme fatigue. When I am sleeping, I am dreaming wildly. The thing I find about Modafinal is that though it keeps me awake and going, I am still tired all the time.

I haven't had your side effects, but did end up with the worst diarrhoea ever, and as someone who has taken clear-out meds for a colonoscopy, it was baaaaaad. I tried to adjust to the Modafinil aka Provigil but after about 2.5 weeks I gave up, because anti diarrhoea meds and a super bland diet did not help at all. It's touted as a miracle drug; it's even apparently popular in the black market. It may be confirmation bias, but I hear often from dysautonomia people that med side effects are usually at one end of the spectrum (hell no) or another (meh). Keep a detailed diary and talk to your doc, as it might be a matter of dosage strength and times of the day taken. Also take professional advice on how to discontinue the drug in a safe way, keeping in mind any other meds you are on....

...apparently i cant curse in this subreddit? It will dehydrate you badly. I take it, but i also have to drink one or two pedialytes every day or it ends up making me worse off. I also take breaks so it doesnt lose efficacy or dey me out. I usually do like 5 days on, 3 days off.

Provigil 200mg made me very nauseous, but helped with my overall fatigue and concentration. Dr told me to cut it in half and just take half in the am and half with lunch. I did and now I'm not nauseous from it.

Hey there! I previously took Provigil - first medication after diagnosis. It worked well the first few months I was on it but I did have a hard time waking up to take it and still felt sleepy at times but it was much more manageable. A few years later and I’m now taking Nuvigil (similar to Provigil with less side effects as I also suffer from migraines.) I still have the same issues of feeling groggy and tired during the day, but I can’t fall asleep for naps even if I tried. (250mg) I plan on speaking with my doctor soon about combination medications such as Methylphenidate ER and Nuvigil at lower doses as for me personally, they perform very differently to treat the sleep drunkenness, brain fog and overall sleepiness.

Crazy side effect experience with Provigil Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Yesterday I made a mistake in my dose. Normally, I take a 200mg dose of Provigil daily. Yesterday I had a memory fart and took 400mg. 🤦‍♀️ First part of the day was pretty cool. Wasn’t hungry much and got a lot of things done with work. Drank my usual 3-4 liters of water (because Provigil) and all was well. Got a little dizzy around 3pm. Kept drinking water and forced myself to eat something because I realized I didn’t eat anything much all day. I know Provigil messes with appetite. I had a hard boiled egg as well as a bowl of yogurt with my fav granola mixed in. I was off my rocker by 4:30 unable to focus thoughts or tasks. Really woozy. Very dizzy. Then out of nowhere a dull yet strong headache hit....

A new side provigil side effect: "resting asshole/bitch face"... Lately, I've developed a chronic facial spasm that pulls my left lip up into a sneer-like gesture. It tends to hang with me most of the day now, if I focus on it I can eliminate it. It's [resting asshole/bitch face](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v98CPXNiSk) and it has become a minor distraction to those around me. Anyone else experienced this? Any advice...I see my doc in about a month, so we'll talk then. It's an annoyance not a deal-killer. Background: I've been on 400mg daily for about a year now. Some ups, some downs. Lately, I feel like I've figured things out, I changed from 2x200 bid to 400 qd...big difference. I still take holidays when I feel agitation building, but I am now able to recognize and understand what is going on.
